CES: NVIDIA GSync available in Q2 from 6 manufacturers
We've been talking a lot about NVIDIA Gsync (read our preview here). Over at CES Nvidia announced that in Q2 these monitors will actually see availability, from six manufacturers. During the initial announcement Nvidia already stated that ASUS, BenQ, Philips and Viewsonic would deliver the monitors, now AOC (Philips) and Acer are joining in as well.
According to Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang you can expect 24" and 27" monitors with Full HD (1920x1080) and thus WQHD at 2560x1440.

give it time. I'm sure someone will hack it to make it compatible with AMD cards.

Yeah it will fail if it doesn't work with AMD and Intel GPU's. Dumb move.

Are you sure that AMD display engine (HW) can support that?

The only thing I don't like is I bought my new monitor right before they released this. Although there is a company that has the board for the 120Hz ASUS monitors and will send you an install kit. Or you can pay them and ship your monitor to them. If only would have waited........

as much as i like this technology, the much i hate it, because nVidia made it proprietary. For me, owning a radeon 7850, the jump to Gsync costs...hmm...arround 500E...no thank you...
