ATI Radeon HD 5570, 5450 due in February

by Hilbert Hagedoorn on: 01/19/2010 01:23 PM | source: | 0 comment(s)

Guru3D.com ImageAMD should release a new ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card early in February, along with a Radeon HD 5570 in mid-February. While technical specs aren't yet readily available for the two upcoming products, the former will replace the current ATI HD 4650/4550/4350 graphics cards, while the latter will be a brand new offering for the mid-range market.

The company has recently launched its faster HD 5670 graphics chip, ousting the HD 4670 in the process. It's DirectX 11-ready and supports either 512MB or 1GB GDDR4 memory and has core frequencies of 775MHz and memory frequencies of 1,000MHz.

AMD has confirmed that it has plans to release ATI Radeon HD 5400 and HD 5500-series products before the middle of February, both of which will have DirectX 11 compatibility.
