Roger Chandler, Intel Vice President and General Manager of Client Graphics Products and Solutions, has stated that the company's next Arc gaming graphics cards will offer overclocking capabilities out of the box, accessible through the official driver UI.

Intel has also been working on a number of additional driver improvements in the lead-up to the release, including strengthening shader compilation and increasing throughput, among other things. In addition, the article confirmed the installation of complete DirectX 12 Ultimate compliance, which will enable variable-rate shading tier 2 and mesh shading, as well as other advanced features. During the first quarter of 2022, Intel is anticipated to ship the first Arc gaming graphics cards for desktops and notebooks.

The OC feature might look similar to AMD's Radeon Software, which provides different overclocking options, such as clock speeds, power settings, and fan curves, among other things.

We're even integrating overclocking controls into the driver UI to give enthusiasts the tools they need to push the hardware to the limit.
