Today we test thus review the ASUS Radeon HD 7970 ROG MATRIX PLATINUM graphics card. Designed to be one of he completely customized card comes with voltage measurement points, a 20-phase VRM circuitry with supper alloy caps and chokes as well as a special capacitors added to maximize overclocking headroom, according to ASUS. The GPU is clocked at a great 1100 MHz and this is the default frequency as the card. A very nice fact as well is that the GDDR5 memory that runs at 6600 MHz effective frequency directly out of the box.

Thank you for this review.
This card is really amazing, especially considering noise levels. But it makes decision even harder, when someone wants to get top of the line stuff - 7970 or 680. And with so many options on both sides, it's not an easy choice.

my god, what an incredible looking card, not to mention the low noise and temps!
Allbeit, a "standard" non reference card is capable of reaching the same level of performance, just at a higher temp, higher noise level..with boring looks when compared to this work of art.
If I had the money, i'd buy two of these right now!...guru3d, would you like to gift me one? I'll buy the second
PS: I love guru3d and Hilbert, you're always my first choice when it comes to reviews on any hardware.
