ASUS launches GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition
Mentioned in the previous post, ASUS is now officially releasing the GTX 980 20th Anniversary Gold Edition. On the weirdest date alright, being Aprils 1st. But we are told its not a joke.
The card is based on a GM204 chip and packs 2048 Shader Cores, 128 TMUs and 64 ROPs. The chip is backed by 4 GB of GDDR5 memory running across a 256-bit interface. The core clocks are set at 1317 MHz (reference) and 1431 MHz (boost) frequencies. The memory remains at a reference clock speed of 7 GHz (7008 MHz).
The card has 12-phases for the GPU and 2 for memory alongside DIGI+ II, Super Alloy Power design, chokes and solid capacitors all tied towards two 8pin power headers. Cooling is based on DirectCU II with two 92mm fans.
