ASRock outs BIOS Patch To Fix Intel Skylake Bug

Shortly after MSI, ASUS and Gigabyte ASRock now follows. Odds are you were never aware of Intel’s Skylake bug, which reveals itself only when executing complex workloads, such as Prime95. ASRock has released BIOS updates to fix this flaw.

Update now and try running Prime95, it’s guaranteed to be bug-free.

TAIPEI, Taiwan, January 25, 2016 – Earlier, Intel confirmed that its Skylake processors were plagued by a bug which causes the system to freeze or act abnormally when executing complex workloads, such as the stress test benchmark Prime95.

While the majority of computer users might not use Prime95 at all, or never had the urge to stress their system to the point of discovering this Intel Skylake bug, still ASRock has already released BIOS updates for fixing this flaw on all of their Intel 100 Series motherboards. So, on the bright side, after a quick ASRock BIOS update you will never notice or remember Intel’s small hiccup.

ASrock seems to be pretty fast with BIOS adoptions of bugfixes lately. Anybody else got that impression?

I got a bios update from Gigabyte last week.

officially that was for RAM support and integrated graphics and that was 1.9, don't think it addressed that issue...

Ah, well probably wrong here then. Just got the feeling that they were one of the first to release the bios updates for fixed multi overclocking, and now this.

They've all been updated within around a week or so, pretty quick for them all imo
