AOC Releases 28-inch 4K IPS display called U28P2U

The screen is intended for productivity usage and as such, you'll not find massing gaming features. Albeit it's still an interesting screen for several reasons.

AOC's 28-inch U28P2U thus has a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and adopts an IPS type liquid crystal panel and supporting 1,070 million color display. It features accurate color representation, covering DCI-P3 97% and sRGB 119%, NTSC 107%. Also, it will be shipped after being calibrated at the factory.

The main specifications are a refresh rate of 60Hz, a response speed of 4ms, a maximum brightness of 300cd/m2, a contrast ratio of 1,000:1, and a viewing angle of 178° horizontally and vertically. It also has flicker-free technology to suppress flicker and low blue light mode function.

There are 3 input interfaces, DisplayPort x 1 and HDMI 2.0 x 2. It is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen.1 x 4 hub function including a quick charging port and audio output. The external dimensions are 636.4 mm, depth 200.1 mm, height 404.0 to 534.0 mm, and weight 6.76 kg (all including the stand). Pricing and availability is yet to be disclosed

So what are these "several reasons" that make it interesting, I wonder?

Specs look quite similar to eg. the Dell U2720Q (which is even a bit brighter and more static contrast - on paper), except that its a 27" of course.

Literally a constant flow of the typical 60 Hz, 300cd/m2 and 1000:1 contrast ratio for how many years now?
