AOC, a known entity in the gaming monitor and IT accessories sector, has launched the AOC GAMING 16G3, a pioneering 15.6" (39.5 cm) portable gaming monitor.
Designed for mobile gaming and enhanced portability, this display has a minimalist design.
The AOC GAMING 16G3 features a 15.6" Full HD IPS panel, catering to PC and console users who require gaming capabilities on the move. It supports a 144 Hz refresh rate and a 4 ms response time (utilizing the Overdrive option), meeting the requirements for fast and responsive gameplay. With a brightness of 250 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1, the display ensures accurate color representation and detailed contrasts in both indoor and outdoor settings.
From a design perspective, the 16G3 incorporates black and red elements. Its 11.5 mm profile and weight of less than 1.1 kg optimize portability. It aligns with the dimensions of 15.6" laptops, fitting in most laptop bags, and is accompanied by a padded carrying case for protection. The monitor also incorporates a smart stand, facilitating varied tilt angles for ergonomic viewing. Users can switch between portrait and landscape orientations using the Auto-Pivot feature in the provided i-Menu software.
For connectivity, the 16G3 is equipped with a microHDMI input, compatible with both older and newer consoles, such as PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and X, in addition to legacy laptops. A USB-C input supports DisplayPort Alt Mode and power, allowing laptop connections. Another USB-C port supports DC power, streamlining cable organization. This DC power can also charge a connected laptop simultaneously with the display usage. The monitor includes two 1 W speakers and an audio output jack for headset compatibility.
The AOC GAMING 16G3's utility extends beyond gaming, proving beneficial for professionals seeking a supplementary screen for presentations or a portable secondary monitor for increased productivity.
