AMD Zen 4-Based Laptops Get a Splash of Orange with New Ryzen Stickers. AMD's latest Ryzen 7000-series CPUs featuring the Zen 4 microarchitecture are set to hit the laptop market soon.

To make it easier for buyers to distinguish between laptops powered by Zen 4 CPUs and those featuring previous-generation Zen 3 or Zen 2 microarchitectures, AMD has introduced new orange Ryzen stickers.

Midrange and entry-level laptops will come with the existing silver/gray stickers, indicating the laptop has a Zen 3-powered Ryzen 7030-series 'Rembrandt' CPU with Zen 3 and RDNA 2 graphics, or potentially even older Zen 2-based Ryzen 7020-series chips. Meanwhile, the new orange Ryzen 7000-series stickers will be reserved for laptops with the latest Zen 4-based Ryzen 7040/7045-series 'Dragon Range' and 'Phoenix' APUs.

While the third digit in the Ryzen 7000 model number reveals the microarchitecture, AMD's new stickers will make it even easier for buyers to quickly spot laptops featuring the latest Zen 4 microarchitecture.

However, as not all online stores post accurate pictures of the products they sell, buyers may not always see the stickers before purchase. Also, the first digit in the model number remains a significant indicator for many buyers.

In any case, the new orange Ryzen stickers make it easier for buyers to identify laptops running on the latest AMD technology, which is always a good thing
