Many people are complaining that AMD's price premium of 50 USD for the new upcoming 5000 series feels a little heavy on the shoulders? A week later now a rumor pops up, a value six-core Ryzen 5 5600 priced $ 220 could be released as early as January 2021.
Twitter data miner Harukaze5719 claims to have found the article and took a screenshot of the new information. This shows that the text is Korean, but the first sentence appears to explain that the original source is from abroad (and not from South Korea).
The processor would be called Ryzen 5 5600 and thus will have six cores and twelve threads, just like the predecessors of this chip. The price of the Ryzen 5 5600X is $ 50 higher than its predecessor, the 3600X. The 5600 (non-X) would be priced at $ 220. That is the same as the price of the Ryzen 5 3600. The chip should be revealed as soon as suitable bios versions for B450 and X470 for Ryzen 5000 will be available. And if you followed the news yesterday and today, that would amount to the beginning of 2021.
BTW small fact, the 3600 and 3600X are AMD's best selling processors, so that's a very interesting proposition, if true. Remember, at this point, this is speculation.
