AMD released a new Ryzen 5 5600X3D, marking the first entry in the Ryzen 5 series to incorporate 3D V-Cache technology.

Despite the initial unveiling of the CPU being conducted by an American retail company claiming exclusive distribution rights, it is yet unclear whether the processor will be made available to the EU region. The new Ryzen 5 5600X3D operates with six cores and twelve threads, having a base clock speed of 3.3GHz and a boost clock up to 4.4GHz. The processor features a 3MB L2 cache and a substantial 96MB L3 cache, confirming compatibility with AM4 motherboards. At a TDP of 105W, the CPU presents a satisfactory power efficiency.

Release Information by Micro Center
The availability of the new CPU was declared by Micro Center, an American online retailer, prior to an official announcement by AMD. The retailer has proclaimed itself as the unique distributor of this particular, limited-edition CPU. With a retail price set at $229.99 (which equates to approximately 255 euros after VAT), the CPU will be sold strictly via physical store locations, not the online platform.

It is noteworthy that this CPU currently represents the most cost-effective option for accessing 3D V-Cache technology, surpassing its predecessor, the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is an eight-core processor.
