We already reported earlier that a Radeon 7900 chip would be moved into the 7800 lineup. More details have now surfaced, . According to a new information the "Tahiti LE" SKU has been brand named Radeon HD 7890. Information like clock speeds, core and memory configurations are still unknown, the new SKU, according to the report, is being designed to be 15% faster than GeForce GTX 660 on average, while being similarly priced.
AMD is obviously aiming for the holiday season with this product.

Seems surprising they went with the 7890 designation, not 7930. I'm guessing it has 2GB 256 bit bus of memory, not 3GB 384 bit bus like the HD79xx range, and that's why?
If that is the case, maybe the rumoured HD8930 will actually be called a HD8890?
