So following all the Ryzen 16-core and NAVI news, one more update has to be made as AMD also announced two new APUs. Well, new, they are not using Zen2 architecture but rather use optimized 12nm versions from the previous generation. The Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G mainly will see a higher clock frequency.

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G gets four cores and no SMT, together with a Vega 8 gpu. The processor's boost speed has been increased from 3.7 to 4.0 GHz. The GPU is actually also running faster at 1250 MHz (was 1100 MHz). The more expensive Ryzen 5 3400G again has four cores and eight threads and a larger Vega 11-GPU. Here too the processor runs 300 MHz faster at a boost of 4.2 GHz. The Vega 11 GPU has been bumped up in frequency from 1250 MHz to 1400 MHz. Specifically for this model, an automatic overclocking function has also been built in. Also, that model will get better TIM.

The new APUs will be available from 7 July. The suggested retail prices have remained the same, so it costs anywhere from one hundred and one hundred and fifty euros.
