Alienware AW2723DF 27-inch WQHD gaming LCD with a maximum refresh rate of 280Hz

Dell unveiled the 27-inch WQHD gaming liquid crystal display AW2723DF from Alienware with a maximum refresh rate of 280Hz.

With a high resolution of WQHD, it supports a high refresh rate of 240Hz native and 280Hz when overclocked. Furthermore, by using a high-speed IPS panel with a GtoG 1ms response time, you may play the game comfortably and without lag.

Display sync technology supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, as well as NVIDIA G-Sync and VESA AdaptiveSync. Furthermore, the high dynamic range complies with VESA DisplayHDR 600, allowing for dynamic and clear visual expression. Brightness 600cd/m2, color gamut 100% sRGB, DCI-P3 95%, contrast ratio 1,000:1, maximum display color 1.07 billion, viewing angle horizontal/vertical 178°, interface HDMI x 2, 1 x DisplayPort 1.4, 1 x USB 3.2 downstream (battery charging 1.2), 3 x USB 3.2 downstream, 1 x USB 3.2 upstream, 1 x headphone, 1 x audio line out, and so on are the main specifications. The stand has a tilt range of -5 to 21 degrees, a swivel range of 40 degrees, a pivot range of 180 degrees, and a height range of 110mm. The pitch of the VESA mounter is 100 x 100 mm. The dimensions of the body are 606.6 mm broad, 268.02 mm deep, and 406.25 to 516.25 mm high. 

Pricing is settling somewhere north of 900 USD/EUR.

I like how 1440p 240+hz is becoming more and more available but 900eur is way too much.
1440p 170hz ips cost me 350eur last year.

It says in the article that the monitor is WQHD but it's not. It's QHD (2560x1440).
Other than that, it's a nice monitor but not for 900€.

QHD/WQHD are used interchangeably for 2560x1440 by the majority of display makers and other sources, unfortunately some use WQHD to refer to something else. A more accurate name, and avoiding any confusion, for 3440x1440 would be UWQHD, since we refer to normal 16:9 as Widescreen already, and any wider then that should fittingly be called Ultra Wide.
