Known Issues

The following section provides a summary of open issues in the latest version of Catalyst™ for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. These include:

  • City of Villains: Entering the Catalyst Control Center and going to the 3D->Standard Setting, followed by selecting Optimal Quality may result in display corruption being noticed when launching the game. Further details can be found in topic number 737-25235
  • FAR CRY: Playing the game on a system running either the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows XP operating system may result in corruption being noticed when using an ATI Radeon™ Xpress 1200 series of products. Further information can be found in topic number 737-23452
  • Homeworld 2: The game exists unexpectedly during tutorial3 when hyperspace quality is set to high. Further details can be found in topic number 737-27099
  • Quake 4: Attempting to play the game under the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system may result in the game failing to launch when using an ATI Radeon Xpress1200/1250/1270 product. Further details can be found in topic number 737-24540
  • Star Wars knights of the Old Republic 2: Corruption may be seen when running the game on some members of the ATI Radeon Xpress 1200/1250 series of products. Further details can be found in topic number 737-27098
  • Studiotools13.5: The hardware pixel shading may fail and the model may not be shaded correctly. Further information can be found in topic number 737-26842
  • UnigraphicsNX4: Only a partial image may be rendered on when selecting the Advance studio display option on systems containing an ATI Radeon. X1600 or X1300 series of products and running the Windows XP Professional x64 Edition operating system. Further information can be found in topic number 737-26841
  • Using Movie Maker 2.1 to capture video under Windows XP Professional x64 Edition results in the captured video being corrupt. Further details can be found in topic number 737-19820
  • Attempting to re-enable any display device other than the primary or secondary display device that has been disabled by CrossFire, may result in the operating system failing to respond. Further details can be found in topic number 737-21663
  • Catalyst™ Control Center: Creating a profile for Assigned Image Panel Settings and a second profile for Avivo Color aspects may result in the profiles not being applied when toggling between the two profiles.
