Asustor Nimbustor 4 (AS5304T) NAS Review

Multi GigE Ethernet is coming to town, and in an effort to re-style their NAS servers, Asustor has released their Nimbustor 4 (AS5304T) NAS server. This puppy is aimed at a new audience, the pro-consumers that stream. Realistically though, it might be one of the most interesting NAS units we have tested top date as it is fast, nimble and offers two 2.5 Gbps Ethernet jacks.

Honestly why is no one just going for 10GbE? i will not upgrade anything till we get 10GbE standard.

Yes, SSD caching available.
Very nice review, but you don't talk about the mixed storage (1 SSD as "cache" + HDDs) that is really nice, is it still there in this model?

I agree but it is more a "normal" user's NAS and, as for now, only few hardware accept 10GbE.
Don't forget also that you can add minimum a digit to the price of a pro switch/rooter that can do 10GbE over mainstream one (and with this choise you would also not choise this nas but a pro one (also more expensive
).
Hopefully, as Hilbert said, future seem to be more in this way.
Just wait a bit.
