Speaker Placement

Product placement (speakers)

So what I mean with product placement is not that it is an advertising product placement, nope, I actually mean proper placement of these products in your listening environment. First off, you need to realize that both speakers have Bass reflex, much like Duran Duran's 'The Reflex', meaning that you need to position them within the proper location. The bass that is exiting out of the rear, you probably (highly recommended) want to bounce that output off a wall, so it would be good to have them situated roughly 20 to 30 cm away from your wall.

Speaker-setup

We made the mistake ourselves, once we seated the speaker kit into our office on a desktop not close to a wall it sounded rather bland. Kits like these need a little spacing and proper placement. My tip would be to place the speakers roughly 1.5~2.0 meters away from each other. Then make sure you sit in front of them roughly 2-3 meters away for the best experience, have a peek at the drawing shown above as that is ideal. It does make all the difference if you reproduce this.

This is a 2.0 Stereo speaker kit, hence you do not need to hide a sub-woofer. Don't worry though, the speakers pack very decent sounding bass levels, so the lack of a sub is not something you should be worried about if you have music in mind. Home cinema would be another category though. The handy thing with Bluetooth is that you can bind the speakers to your UHD telly, smartphone, tablet and yeah, anything that can be paired. For the love of god man, I think our cat has been lying there for 48 hours straight now!

I use a rather spiffy Onkyo AMP solution myself for audio / movies combined with Bose Accoustimass 15 series speakers (a whole lotta people just started cursing and shaking their head at me - I know I know!). What can I say, I like tiny speakers and home cinema, can't help it. The size of the speakers needs to compensate for the 65" TV right :)

Non-amplified sources like iPad/iPod/iPhone, PC, laptop, TV, CD and Blu-Ray devices can be used just as easily as powered sources. There is a dedicated line-in for mobile devices. With an eye on power-saving, CUBE mini has an intelligent standby feature that shuts your speakers down when not in use, but wakes instantly when an audio signal is detected. When resting they use like half a watt.

I still say that logo is kinda out of its place... I'll live with it though hope that Wavemaster will consider re-positioning it out of visual sight with future products.
