VidaBox Premium Wireless Keyboard with embedded Laser Trackball

We here at Guru3D are not just  pure hardcore hardware aficionado's .. we are HTPC enthusiasts as well. We've checked out out our share of HTPC chassis, decoding high-definition content over the graphics card and well .. a lot of HTPC peripherals over time really.

The one thing that always somewhat irritates me with HTPCs is the fact that there are no really good and affordable remote controls out there for you to be able to quickly navigate though Media Center, Media Portal or whatever you are running. Some of you don't even have that HTPC software installed and simply use Media Player Classic HTPC edition, especially with that dynamic going on it's handy to simply use a keyboard and mouse. However being in a Home Theater environment it's not exactly handy to have a mouse and big keyboard next to you on the couch or the sheer fact alone that they are out of range really quickly might be bothersome.

As such we see a new trend develop, after the complete failure of Microsoft's MC keyboard -- which they refused to deliver with a IR receiver ?! Companies now are picking up that segment of the market by introducing small yet fully functional keyboards, with included trackball and with an exceptional range. Very handy, and not entirely shameful to have sitting next to you on that couch -- you potato you.

Today we review such a product, it's the VidaBox Premium Wireless Keyboard with Laser Trackball, have a peek at the picture and then let's browse to the next page where we'll have a look at the product.

VidaBox vCase3 Premium mATX HTPC chassis review
VidaBox vCase3 Premium tested - This chassis is a low profile mATX HTPC chassis with a great design at a reasonable price. Simple, basic, handy -- these are all keywords that apply to the overall design and looks of the vCase3 Premium. Especially in an era where we see form factors change a lot, a chassis like this in the living room can help out a lot. It blends in with the rest of your components really well, it can house the latest mATX motherboards. You can pop in a regular ATX power supply and well... you are good to go. Whether it is entry-level, mid-range or even if you pop in say a high-end ASUS Maximus II Gene with Core i7 870 processor -- it's all possible with this HTPC chassis.
