NVISION 08 Day 2 - It's the Buzz -
1
We'll continue where we left off yesterday. We arrived at day 1 in the evening.
Fly me To the Moon Keynote speech day 1
On day one of the NVISION conference early in the evening there was a surprise guest opening a 3D Stereoscopic movie called Fly Me to the Moon, which launched today.
I think we where the first actually to see it. The new 3D movie is a full length film about three little flies that have the desire to go to the moon and lift along on an Apollo 11 flight (with all complications and sub-stories in hand). Extremely funny movie. You guys should definitely check it out when available in a theater near you. And there should be quite a lot of them showing the movie.
Next to the director of the movie speaking about Stereoscopic movies the special guest was of course the fact that former astronaut Buzz Aldrin was on stage for a 1:1 interview with NVIDIA. The aging Buzz surely hasn't lost any spirit just yet as he talked about the mission to the moon, the current state of technology, things he's like to see improved in the space shutlle and future spaceships and yeah, he was very out there and active in the conversation. Great seeing him and meeting him. Of course I was able to take some photo's of the man and i also have a screenshot of the movie for you.
Buzz Aldrin
Ben Stassen Director of the movie. Three young houseflies stow away aboard the Apollo 11 flight to the moon. The 3D effects were very good, and definitely eye popping! So go and take they young ones, this is an event they will remember.
We have one more item from NVISION to show you guys. Though not 100% related to NVISION I figured this would be fun to show you. In San Jose there was a concert given. Now typically we gamers are not your average classical concert attendees, but the guys from video Games Live setup their gear in the San Jose concert hall and we figured it would be a nice opportunity to attend it and at thee very least show you some photo's on what is actually happening as such a concert.
