Netgear XR300 Nighthawk Pro Gaming router

We review Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR300 router this gaming router is compatible with the new AC standard aka WIFI 5. Armed with the DUMAoS this can we considered a more budget XR500 at 199 USD. The performance is there alright. The Dual-band 5000 MHz and 2400 MHz router has been optimized for gaming or at least carries that label.

Routers these days you can purchase a dime a dozen and most of them end up all being the same, as such the more predominant manufacturers continuously seek to add new features to their products in order to differentiate themselves in the market. And that's difficult as there aren't many extras you can add to a router really, you are tied to industry Ethernet and WIFI standards, you can make sure the throughput of the devices is good enough for modern age high-bandwidth file throughput and you can make the firmware as sexy as possible with a nice GUI and extensive feature set. The Nighthawk Pro Gaming XR300 Gaming router is an 802.11ac spec router. and not 802.11ax WIFI6.

The XR300 offers dual-band wifi connectivity and offers up to 450 Mbit/s on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 1300 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band. You are going to notice three antennas. The product comes with four LAN ports and 802.11ac, a dual-core processor at 1 GHz powers the DumaOS. The XR300 leverages a purpose-built gaming dashboard powered by DumaOS, critical for an enhanced online gaming experience.

The router is fitted with a 1 GHz dual-core processor that is paired with 512 MB ram and 128 MB flash memory storage. In addition to a WAN port, there are four LAN ports, one thus which can be used as a dedicated gaming port. Have a peek at the product and then let's dive into the review.
