The X470 motherboard is to be considered a high-end class solution in a wide segment of X470 series motherboards. The motherboard is still built using MSI's design alright and was pimped up a bit. MSI also overhauled the M2 cooling heatsink.

The motherboard includes all of the standardized X470 chipset options with two full speed M.2 SSD slots, it is SLI and Crossfire compatible as well, one x16 slot (configured as Gen 3 x16 on the first slot, the second is Gen 3 x8).  The board follows standard ATX Form Factor.

The I/O panel of the X470 Gaming M7 AC reveals eight USB 3.1 ports, one type-c connector. A Realtek ALC1220 audio codec is the source for audio which will use a few quality capacitors, used on most motherboards these days. There a PS/2 combo port for either a keyboard or mouse. You do spot two antennas for WIFI (Bluetooth as well) and two buttons for CMOS clear and BIOS Flashback. The board gets one 10/100/1000 Gigabit LAN controller, KillerNIC based E2500.

The board comes with two 8-pin power connectors, don't worry you can use just a single one. There's also all kinds of LED enablement on (and under) the board as well as RGB LED strip connectors you can configure with MSI software.
