HIS Radeon HD 6850 and 6870 review

You've probably just read our AMD series 6800 reference review, but of course there are a lot of AMD partners releasing the Radeon HD 6850 and 6870 to the market with their own spin. As always, HIS is never late to arrive at the party, they submitted both cards for a review as well and as such we'd be more than happy to bring you a full review on their products today.

The new mid-range series 6800 promise to deliver a very decent chunk of gaming performance, a set of new features and as always will carry a nice price tag. HIS will release the mid-range segment 6850 and 6870 at first as reference based as they can. Both products carry the reference clock frequencies on the core and memory and while the 6870 aside from a sticker is 100% reference, the 6850 already has a non standard cooler with a nice 80mm fan sitting in the middle. Will it be even more silent and offer better performance? Well, obviously you are here to find that out.

Let's have a quick peek at the new duo and then head onwards into the review, where we'll cover the features, architecture, photo-shoot, power consumption and heat levels and benchmarks... oh yeah... you are in for the entire Guru3D treat today. Next page you guys.
