A heat spreader does not always bring the temperature down. Rather than that, it moves the heat from the chips to the PCB, distributes it more evenly throughout the module, and eliminates potential hot spots. Theoretically, this should allow better overclocking.

Additionally the two 20 mm fans should keep the temperature down.

Geil equips the EvoV 6200 CL34 DDR5 memory modules with an aluminum heat spreader with a matte gray color and the fans. It looks attractive and should make this memory kit appear nice in a build.

The total height of the stick is about 54 mm/2.12 inches. That’s a relatively high-profile module, so you can encounter problems with air coolers. However, we always recommend double-checking whether any clearance issues won’t occur before you buy this set.
