Above packaging of the product. The card is based on a dual-slot dual fan cooling solution. In idle one of the fans spins, the other one is disabled. Under load the 2nd one will spin up. Especially in an idle status this makes the product silent, you do get a bit of airflow over your components. I like that very much.

Mind you that GALAX labels this product as EXOC Black Edition under SKU code 97NQH6DNB4TX.

At the top of the card you can see the two power headers. A multi phase power supply is responsible for supplying the GPU and memory with power. One additional phase power supply is dedicated to the board’s GDDR5 memory.

As you can see, the card has SLI connectors so if you've got cash to spend, 2 and 3-way SLI are an option to pursue, though we always recommend two cards maximum for the best scaling and as few driver issues as possible.

Tweaked; we’ve seen this 970 board reach almost 1.4 GHz on the Turbo clock frequency, very nice but we'll talk more about that later on in this article.
