Packaging, we show you everything my man -- we always start off with packaging so you know what to look for in the stores -- it's as simple as that really. Of course, something called Royal, will get a bit of extra TLC.

Here we have the DIMMs after unpacking. A small cloth to clean up that silver/gold plating from any residual finger smudges is included. These are 8GB 3200 MHz DIMMs in a kit of 2x DIMMs. Great design, cool that the PCB is black as most motherboards have a black PCB as well these days. Intel XMP version 2.0 is of course supported.

Tech specifics first, as you might have noticed from that sticker, this kit can manage latencies of 14-14-14-34 at 1.35 Volts, and that's a pretty spiffy latency for this type of memory alright. G.SKILL does have some CL16 versions available in the TridentZ Royal range though. For optimal stability, we do recommend you stick to the manufacturer's suggested settings at default SPD or that preconfigured XMP profile.

Styling even powered down the memory is just breathtaking to look at. It is just so tasteful as well as aesthetically wise very pleasing. The kits are dual-channel compatible of course depending on the number of DIMMs you use, you could opt for a quad-channel 32GB kit with four DIMMs of course. With expensive memory often comes some extras, G.Skill offers a limited lifetime warranty with these memory modules, you can't beat that.

Let me zoom in at the visual bit, that's a crystalline design, hey shine bright like a diamond, which it will with the 8-zone RGB lighting which can be controlled of course. The default rainbow animation, however, is all you need really.  These days in a PC we recommend 8GB as a minimum, 16GB for a little extra if you are actively gaming on your gaming rig, and 32GB for the ones that use memory intensive applications / do memory intensive transcoding and/or content creation.

Yep, even sitting there in the boxing/packaging it already looks nice eh? Remember, Royal is available in a silver (like we test), but also gold themed set of DIMMs.
