The back panel features the now fairly standard 'cutout' for easy access to the motherboard's backplate area. Given that (as near as makes no difference) 100% of 3rd party coolers need the installation of a custom plate, this is a very popular feature, and has become basically standard on almost every even semi-high end case. Thanks to the tendency of enthusiasts to change their hardware on a regular basis (I know do... at what point does it become an addiction?), easily swapping out coolers without having to tear down your entire build is, frankly, great.

Fractal Design advertises between 15-35mm of space between the back panel and motherboard tray. Whilst not masses of space, 15mm is about as thick as your average 20+4 pin ATX cable gets. Space in the more ample regions of the case is perfectly fine, as 35mm is nearly 4cm of clearance, but cable bunching problems may occur if you are running a lot drives/controllers or multiple GPUs. The latter is, of course, a non-problem in a Micro-ATX chassis. That said, clearance should be enough - in the narrower areas - for single CPU/EPS cables, and there is certainly space where it matters. Suffice to say that nothing here has changed since the mid-tower Meshify C. We felt it could use improving, and perhaps it still does, but as this is an mATX chassis, it's a little more understandable.

As the chassis is fairly small, PSU cable length will be even less of an issue than it was in the mid-tower variant, so here it is - as before - a 'non' problem. The photo above, however, should give you some idea of the room you're playing with where PSUs are concerned. With the drive cage there, room for your cables is at a premium. Save yourself the bother, and use a shorter PSU such as EVGA's G3 or Seasonic's Focus Plus line-up.

Finally, all relevant cables to the case's base functionality (HD audio, USB 3.0, front I/O connectors) come tied together and already velcroed in safely. They look good. I agree with the previous iteration of this review, where a gripe was the lack of 'all black' connectors, however, it's a small point, and once they're 'in,' they're in. Next, we will begin to build inside the case, and give you our experience of it.
