First up are the photos of the packaging. Nothing spectacular here, but there’s nothing wrong with that. The entire package weighs over 13 Kg and it’s not too small, so I appreciate the cut-outs very much. Llet’s see what I’ll find inside the box.

The chassis is nicely protected with Styrofoam and a plastic bag, and that helped during the shipping.  No damage occurred, and the tempered glass panel is all right.

The Fractal Design Define S2 has a classic look. The white version that we received from Fractal Design (and I was really surprised by the color when I unboxed the case) makes a favorable impression. It’s a midsized chassis, measuring 543 × 233 × 465 mm (LxWxH), with a total capacity of 58.83 l. White is horribly for photography though, hang in there with us.

Inside you’ll find the user guide and also:

  • 4x PSU Screw
  • 13x Motherboard Screw
  • 1x M8 Standoff
  • 1x Standoff Tool
  • 6x Cable Tie
  • 20x SSD Screw
  • 12x HDD Screw
  • 12x HDD Dampener
  • 2x Reservoir Bracket
  • 1x SATA Cable
  • 4x Thumbscrews for Side Panel

Summing it up, except for the SATA Cable, it’s a rather standard set. Let’s proceed with the evaluation of the exterior.
