On the top side, we can see a 120 mm thermally controlled fluid dynamic-bearing fan.
The fan model is a DF1202512CH-003, and “uncle” Google didn’t come up with too much information about it, but it is worth paying attention to his design. It has 9 blades with special openings that should produce higher airflow with lower noise. It’s MTBF is 120.000 hours. The maximum rpm is rated at 1500, it’s not loud even at about 75% load.
The dimensions are 150×160×86mm (W × L × H), which is quite typical. The design of this DC-DC power supply has been created by Channel Well Technology (CWT). They are a well-known company, usually manufacturing low-end or mid-range power supplies (but some higher-end units too). Deepcool’s PSU is built with 100% Japanese, 105℃ capacitors, providing the highest reliability, and that’s the reason why they provided a 5-year warranty (not bad, but Corsair offers 10, and Seasonic even 12 years).
As for the cables, the supplied ones are sufficient in terms of number and length.
The 24-pin ATX motherboard cable is 55 cm long. The Molex and SATA power cables range from 45 to 100 cm, whereas the 8-pin ATX CPU power cable is 70 cm long, which is great. Last but not least, the PCIe graphics leads reach a modest 60 cm. Obviously, all of these cables are modular, so you won’t have to plug in the ones that you don’t need in your system, reducing cable clutter in your PC.
According to the manufacturer, we should find some very nice components inside, so let's rip it open.
Soldering quality is above average, although there are a few rougher spots on the main PCB. The filtering stage starts at the AC input receptacle and continues onto the main PCB.
The primary capacitor is made by “Nippon”. This is a Japanese company, and this particular capacitor is rated at105c 560uF, 400V. They used a double EMI filter to try and stabilize the voltages. The bridge rectifier has its own heatsink, with another heatsink close by on the PFC power components and primary switching transistors. The quality of wiring on the board varies, but some areas could be a tiny notch better.
