Final words and conclusion

The new H110i GT definitely is showing more muscle compared to its predecessor. Now, as you have been able to notice from the results, we started using a new test-platform that is more representative anno 2015. However the Core i7 4970K is just such a nasty processor to cool. Regardless we have to build results from scratch again and over time more comparative results will be added. The new test platform makes use of the Core i7 4790K and we test it in a default setup (clocks) and then overclocked at 4600 MHz with 1.3 Volts. Now the 1.3 Volts is not needed for the overclock, 1.2 Volts would have been good enough as well. However we inject more voltage to see how the cooler behave, and we know with certainty that many of you are overclocking with that 1.3 Volts. That does however make it a tough job for any cooler to cope with. Admittedly, we have been pleasantly surprised by the Corsair H110i GT, the cooling performance is really nice and on par with high-end cooling. It is a silent product as well. That said, once you change variables with Corsair LINK to even, say, balanced mode, it will become a noisy product though. The 240mm radiator with the two high performing fans makes a difference, cooling capacity is definitely impressive for even a proper overclock.

Aestethics & Design

The overall looks are nice as far as I am concerned, all black design with the subtle 50 shades of grey make it a sexy product. It is easy to install with the mounting system, and it comes prefilled. The black design will make this kit look great in any PC. It simply is a good alternative to heatpipe coolers with the added benefits of being fairly quiet whilst offering very nice looks. No skills are required other than the need for ten minutes to install the kit.

Pricing

The Corsair H110i GT will be introduced at 129 USD. We expect slightly lower prices in the EU. I think it's a fair amount of cash as this cooler offers quite a lot. It is silent if kept at default, and at the default settings it just offers really good cooling performance. The extra bonus is found in the LINK functionality as well as the RGB lighting system. But make no mistake, the performance and features are good for a 280mm rad based product at this price level. Let me also remind you that you can easily spend 200/300 EUR on tubing, radiators, cooling blocks, reservoirs and so on.

So how cool is it?

We can easily recommend the new Hydro series Corsair H110i GT, for an AIO kit it definitely is one of the better performing ones out there and in its default config it remains to be a very silent product. Combined with an easy to install design, good looks and really nice performance you can purchase a product that is spot on money wise. You'll have plenty of extra capacity to overclock. If you are wondering about the temperatures you have seen at 1.3 Volts, well... roughly 65 Degrees C on a Haswell processor of this class is impressive. You will likely not need 1.3V for 4400~4600 MHz. Overall the cooler manages really well with the tested Core i7 4790K processor we fired off at it, if you need 1.30 Volts even then it will offer enough cooling performance, and that remains a tough task for any cooler. A small additional bonus is the LED lit Corsair logo which you can color to any RGB preference with the help of LINK software. LINK itself is something that belongs in the category you hate or love it, there is nothing in-between. But hey it's an option that allows you to monitor and customize your cooling, that's a plus in our books.  The one remark I have to make is that there are a fair amount of wires leading out and into the cooling block. So design wise there is more cable spaghetti clutter to deal with. Last note on design, we love the new sleeved tubing, that look really hot .. or cool ;)

Overall we can seriously recommend the Corsair H110i GT - it offers a really good balance of being a silent product whilst offering terrific cooling performance with an added hint of feature like the RGB coloring logo and LINK functionality. Recommended for sure.
