Here we look inwards at the front side, you can see the 120mm fan located. Both fans are nicely silent btw, but obviously RPM controlled by a fan or motherboard FAN controller, hence noise and airflow is dependent on what you connect it to.

Right, well, rear... At the left and rear right side there is space for your storage units, with easy drive installation. Let me zoom in on the securing mechanism though. You can easily insert and/or remove these. You place the HDD in a tray, slide it backwards in the cage and secure it with the thumb screw. It is as simple as that. The HDDs mount themselves in rubber inserts.

You mount the SSD with screws on a tray, you just slide in your SSD and then mount it shut with a thumb screw - it really is that simple. The Carbide 270R comes standard with two trays for 2.5 inch drives.

You will not spot room for optical drive bays (5.25"), so if you need one, only an external USB based optical unit would be an alternative. But you can mount two 3.5" trays as well with some screws.

Mounting a 3.5" SSD device is easy. Pop it into the tray, secure it with screws, slide it downwards and secure it with a thumb screw and your HDD has been seated and hangs in rubberized inserts.

Here's an overview of what that looks like, since your storage units are located at the back side, they will be out of vicinity and thus sight.
