Drivers and Software
All the Xonar cards use similar drivers with the only differences being with features native to that particular card. People that have used a Xonar model in the past can easily migrate to a newer or higher end model as the drivers are basically identical.
The main driver panel is fairly compact offering all base controls for easy access. To the left we have the frequency analyzer, middle we have the DSP mode, EQ mode and output device (Digital, Analog or both). The right hand side we have main volume control, SVN (Smart Volume Normalization), Mute and various preset for different audio tasks. Let's snap open the panel and check out some of the advanced features:
We have drop down lists for Audio channel input, Sample rate and S/Pdif output. Along the bottom we have different panes for Mixer, Effects, Karaoke, FlexBass and VocalFX.
The main feature panel has a sub menu for gain control of the onboard headphone amplifier chip. There are three different ranges for the various impedance ranges available on generic and high end headphones.
