ASUS ROG Z11 mini-ITX chassis review

We review the ASUS ROG Z11 in a dark finish, a PC housing for small form factor motherboards. This Mini-ITX ready chassis has a trick or two that will astonish you in terms of style, USB 3.x options. Next to that, it's so cute. Everything about this chassis is designed A: in a ROG signature style and B: to display the innards of your PC components (and ASUS would like that to be ASUS ROG of course). What makes this chassis truly unique though is the fact that it can be used in both a portrait and landscape mode, e.g. you can rest the chassis horizontally, but also vertically. Though you may only house small mini ITX form factor motherboards it offers space for multiple SSDs (depending on your choice of PSU form factor). It can house normal sized ATX power supplies. Next to the rather cool and somewhat compact design (it's actually quite big for a mITX chassis), the looks are pretty terrific. Aluminum panels, steel frame, USB 3.0 as well as a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C connector.

The ASUS ROG Z11 stars an 11-degree tilted interior design for enhanced heat dissipation and better cable management. The purpose is to provide more airflow which is critical in high-performance systems that are using smaller form factors such as mini-ITX. The ASUS ROG Z11 is invented to provide support for full-size power supplies and has good support for cooling. Included with the ROG Z11 are three 140 mm cooling fans, the chassis otherwise supports a 240 mm radiator at the rear however you may also install a 120 mm radiator in the bottom of the chassis As the photos will show you, if you are into a ROG themed PC, you're going to like this one. There's however more to is than beauty though as during the build process I'll talk you through the intricacies and difficulties of this chassis, it's a very confusing chassis to build.

I stated it Mini ITX, that's holding a motherboard 17x17 cm. The chassis however has been build to provide room for big graphics cards and also offer space for LCS kits. With a compact build in mind, you do need to realize though, at 21 x 7.6 x 14.7 inches this chassis isn't small at all. Also, it'll come with a hefty $279 / EUR price tag. yes, it is very expensive.
perhaps we can say, it's a bit of beauty and a bit of a beast. Next page, please.
