Antec HCP 1000W

So then, here we have the packaging so you know what to look for in the stores. The PSU inside is packaged nicely and protected in a carton.

Antec HCP 1000W

The PSU and cables all come in a cloth pouch. Delivered with the PSU are the simple basics like power cable manual and screws. As stated, this is a 100% modular model.

After unpacking, not a dent, scratch or smudge was on the unit. Rough matte dark finish, nice black theme. Obvioously the PSU is ready for all upcoming CPU & GPU generations and offers a superb capacity on its four 12V rails.

At the front and top side we spot a nice honeycomb air vent; it allows for optimal airflow running through the PSU, cooling down its components and keeping them nicely efficient. Also, obviously we spot the power connector and on/off switch.

Antec HCP 1000W

The PSU complies to EPS12V PSU design guides for compatibility & C6 state functions. Meaning powered off or in sleep mode it should consume less then one watt. There's plenty of Ampage to go around, impressive are the four 12V rails rated at 40 AMPs each.

Here an overview of all cables you receive. You can hook up to six PCIe Graphics connectors in a 6/8 configuration, but we'll have a closer look at all the cables and connectors on the next page.

We review the Antec 1000W HCP Platinum power supply. tly they submitted their all new HCP (High Current Pro) 1000W power supply. Their gold model has been selling for a year now but is replaced with this version. It was further improved and got a 80 plus Platinum certification, meaning the PSU can pimp and show off its most efficient power supply label available in this bizz.
