Anidees AI-Crystal Tempered Glass review - Final Words & Conclusion

Final Words & Conclusion

We have to admit that Anidees (and many others) borrowed an idea or two from In-Win, who started with the tempered glass chassis. But admittedly, it's a shot in that bulls-eye as the tempered glass edition PC chassis just make so much of a positive difference in terms of looks, style and design. The AI-Crystal remains a fairly compact chassis despite the fact that you may house even an E-ATX motherboard in there. Airflow obviously isn't an issue either and works out really well by having a huge air intake at the front while the rear fan exhaust. And then the most important thing, the combination of dark and wide aesthetics combined with dark tempered glass at both sides and the front side make this chassis a mysterious to look at, it really has terrific looks.

Features wise the Anidees AI Crystal  has pretty much everything you need or require. The airflow is good enough, the space (up-to E-ATX motherboards) offers plenty of options, features like the SSD/HDD space, ease of use and USB 3.0 ports are all available as well. Even included is a simple integrated fan controller. We do hope to see full LED lighting solution make a move towards chassis one day. lighting solution. The LEDs harbored inside fan remain simple but bring a very nice feel. A LED strip in the front for the lighting would really have made the components pop out of that nice 5mm tempered glass a bit more stylish though.

Aesthetics

The looks then, I like the AI-Crystal model with its dark feel and see through finish, you can't argue taste as it is the most subjective thing and does not make the job of reviewer any easier. Some will dislike it, and others will love this chassis for its looks. Each and every little aspect of the chassis has been thought through really well. The design of the chassis has been made to make your life a little easier while combining the best features an enthusiast crowd seeks in a chassis. But yeah, this is a well thought through product with okay cooling, dust filters, USB 3.0 integration and relatively tool free design. The glass side and front panels obviously give it the killer looks. Anidees did not go overboard with massive logos etc either.

Features

The internals are pretty decent as well, normal and even E-ATX form factor motherboards will fit, the more lengthy graphics card will fit as well. There's also plenty of space for liquid cooling, the drive bay can be removed and there is sufficient space for two HDDs and and three SSDs. The chassis has nice motherboard cutout and there's enough space left for cable routing through the grommet holes, all in that all-black aluminum interior. Visibility of the power supply has been blocked by a panel, we like that as it hides the wires.

The Verdict

Anidees released a really nice chassis with the AI-Crystal. Obviously the see-trough design with the tempered glass panels make all the difference for a chassis anno 2016. Design wise I have very little to complain as everything simply makes sense, the chassis is easy to use and fairly maintenance free. You have plenty of storage options alongside reasonable cable routing (could be a bit better tbh). Everything sits in the right place as well and it even comes with a fan hub and controller. The airflow is plenty enough for any decent build, the air intakes are covered by a dust filter. In the end, this chassis is very pleasing to the eyes pop some LED strips in there and you will be shocked as to how things will look. Next to the looks the design is done well also, everything is in the right spot, easy to install and all the features you will ever need are present. We can recommend very much as it does offer an excellent combination of features, requirements and comes with really terrific looks.

MSRP $149,9  / €149,90 / £119.90, you can give Anidees a visit here.

Anidées AI-6 chassis review
There is a new player in the PC casing / chassis arena, they are named Anidées and recently they have introduced their first product into the market. Their first chassis released is the AI-6, it comes in three models, standard black, one with a side panel window and a sound dampened version. We'll check out the 'regular' model, but as you'll notice very little is actually regular about this chassis.
