On the next few pages we'll show you some photos. The images were taken at 4272 x 2848 pixels and then scaled down. The camera used was a Canon 450D - 12 MegaPixel.
Text wise, probably the most boring part of the article. But I always say, you need to understand what you are reading about and therefore always show you photo's. Even if these processors all look the same. I have changed the background color to black for variation though, impressive huh ? ;))
Anyway, this is the 7850 Black edition processor. Socket AM2+, pardon the un-sharp photo there.
Though a black edition version, there likely will also be a non BE version. A regular 7850 would be 100% the same performance wise, yet has it's multiplier locked, which makes overclocking a more difficult. A regular Athlon X2 7850 would also be clocked at 2.8GHz, with the same cache sizes and the same 95 watt TDP (peak processor wattage).
Athlon X2 Series 7000 processors make use of socket AM2+, that's 940 pins same as Socket AM2. Thy may count them if you want to :)
