I'm pretty sure you've followed our articles on yesterday's Ryzen 3000 announcements. You will have noticed that the Ryzen 9 3900X is the proc with the most cores, 12 of them with 24 threads and a Boost to 4.6 GHz. Of course, with two CPU dies we're going to see 14 and 16-core models as well, hopefully later this year.

Opus Visual has released a new video, showcasing its new DXR Tech Demo. This demo was created for the Nvidia DXR Contest and showcases real-time raytracing and global illumination capabilities. The team did not release this tech demo to the public so we don't know what it requires in order to run with 60fps at both 1080p and 1440p.

AMD introduces two more Ryzen 3000 processors that it did not show during the keynote. It concerns the Ryzen 5 3600 and 3600X. Both are hexacores with twelve threads and a 95W TDP for the 3600X and 65W for the 3600.

Watch the Nvidia Computex 2019 press conference

Nvidia will hold a press conference at Computex 2019. Much like AMD, the press conference itself will start a day before the actual start of Computex 2019, which will begin on May 28. Nvidia’s press conference is scheduled for May 27 at 2:30 pm, local time, in Taipei, Taiwan.

NVIDIA Files Trademarks for 3080, 4080 and 5080

So word out on the street is that the new NAVI cards might be named Radeon RX 3080. Guess what NVIDIA did when they learned about that, they filed a trademark on these 'numbers'. Of course, Nvidia's last two GPU series were named GTX 1080 (Ti) and RTX 2080 (Ti) and yes that could stir up some confusion on brand naming.
