The ASUS Z97 SaberTooth Mark S Limited Edition motherboard is reviewed today, that would be bright and white alright! The all white Z97 TUF themed mainboard is intended for Intel's 22nm Haswell processors on that Socket LGA1150 platform. It is a mainstream to high-end segmented product amongst the ASUS Sabertooth series that comes with some nice features and very VERY decent overclock potential.

Does the GeForce GTX 970 have a memory allocation bug ? (update 3)

For a week or two now in our forums there have been allegations that users of the GeForce GTX 970 have a darn hard time addressing and filling the last 10% of their graphics memory. The 4 GB card seems to run into issues addressing the last 400 to 600 MB of memory, which is significant.

256GB SSDs to drop under $70 this year

In a recent interview, Apacer general manager CK Chang mentions that that pricing of 256GB solid state disks are expected to fall under $70 in the second half of this year. Though 128GB models are slowly getting too small imho, these will hit $40.

Interesting, if you have been playing around with the preview build of Windows 10, then you will have noticed that after you updated it to the latest build it now has DirectX 12 support. If you look at the screenshot below, you can see that it is enabled in the OS itself.

Acer Predator XR341CK 34" Curved Gaming Screen with G-sync

More news from Acer today as later this year they will launch a large curved 34" size, and 21:9 ultra-wide format monitor with G-Sync. The XR341CK which will likely get a 3440 x 1440 resolution. There is apparently going to be a 144Hz + G-sync and a non-G-sync option available.

Alright alright ! Acer will release two new 24"-class screens with IPS panels and 3840 x 2160 Ultra HD resolutions. Yeah, 24" inch though. The CB240HYK (pictured) is 23.8" in size and offers a 60Hz refresh rate, 6ms G2G response time, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 310 cd/m2 brightness and sRGB gamut from its W-LED backlight.
