Powered through 8-Pin + 6-Pin power configuration it obviously runs at factory overclocked specifications as well. Bitcoin Exchange Mt. Gox Goes Offline - $350 Million Hack

Mt. Gox, once the world's largest bitcoin exchange, has gone offline, apparently after losing hundreds of millions of dollars due to a years-long hacking effort that went unnoticed by the company. The hacking attack is detailed in a leaked "crisis strategy draft" plan, apparently created by Gox and published Monday by Ryan Selkis, a bitcoin entrepreneur and blogger (see below).

Samsung today announced the Galaxy Gear Fit, a health-focused wearable that offers a simpler experience than the more capable Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo smartwatches. The Gear Fit has a curved 1.84-inch display with 432 x 128 pixels. The Fit has a number of sensors and can track steps, exercise, heart rate, and sleep.

Over at MWC in Barcelona Sony has announced a  Z2-smartphone that can record in a whopping 4k resolution. The Smarktphone will get a 5.2" screen with Full HD resolution (1920x1080). The Xperia Z2 will get a 20.7 MegaPixel camera with 1/2.3-type Exmor RS-sensor and Sony's G-lens.

Thief will not ship with Mantle support

As AMD recently has proven, Mantle can bring a significant performance improvement towards compatible games. one game that will support Mantle will be Thief. Unfortunately, at launch time there will be no support.  Thief is due to launch in North America on the February 25th. Google has been working on an Android smartphone engineering sample that can learn and map the world around it. The device comes from a new initiative called Project Tango, and it's ready to get the phone into developers' hands to see what the technology is capable of. Google says that the phone will learn the dimension of rooms and spaces just by being moved around inside of them - walking around your bedroom, for example, would help the phone learn the shape of your home.

Microsoft Windows 8.1 will get 70% price reduction

Bloomberg reports that Microsoft is cutting the price of Windows 8.1 by 70 percent for makers of low-cost computers and tablets. Obviously this is to be able to compete with Google's Chromebooks etc. The price reduction will be in effect for OEMs only.  Manufacturers will be charged $15 to license Windows 8.1 and preinstall it on devices that retail for less than $250, instead of the usual fee of $50, said the people, who asked not to be named because the details aren’t public.
