Two new teaser videos for Battlefield 4 have been released. The first video, appropriately titled "Prepare 4 Battle: Sea," gives us a brief glimpse at a ship's propeller spinning to life underwater. The second video hasn't officially been uploaded by EA or DICE, but nevertheless it has been leaked on YouTube. The video is similar to the one above, only this time the focus is on land combat.

AMD cuts APU prices in April

AMD plans to cut some of its APU prices at the end of April to welcome its next-generation Richland APUs, set for launch in early June, according to sources from PC players. Prices of AMD's APUs including A8-5600K, FX-8320, FX-6300 and FX-4300 will see 8-15% drops and the CPU maker will also start shipping its A4-4000 in mid-April for sales in mid-May priced at US$40.

Microsoft Surface Pro owners dealing with WiFi issues

Microsoft released its first software update for the Surface Pro tablet earlier this month. Part of the update's release notes stated that it was supposed to improves the tablet's WiFi features for "better roaming and improvements to 'Limited' connectivity scenarios". As it turns out, a few Surface Pro owners are still reporting problems with the tablet's WiFi connectivity.

Today we review the AMD Radeon HD 7790 incl Frametimes, the Sapphire Dual-X OC model specifically. The new graphics card is intended to boost a little more performance into entry-level gaming.  Despite the earlier rumors of 768 shader processors, the GPU actually has 896 stream processors. With 6.0 Gbps 1 GB of GDDR5 graphics memory running over a 128-bit GDDR5 memory bus the card will bring the overall game performance close to the Radeon HD 7850 and beyond the competing GeForce GTX 650 Ti.

Xbox 720 Could Require always-on DRM

Extremetech has an interesting story that leaked screenshots of the Xbox 720 development kit from 2012 reveal Microsoft's next-gen console may not only have always-on DRM but also mandatory game installs. If the final version of the console has these requirements, this will mean that the Xbox 720 wil not run used games.

XFX Radeon HD 7770 Monster

Over at TPU they noticed that ExPreview has a Radeon HD 7770 Monster caught on photo. It is quite similar to the Radeon HD 7750 Monster that was launched in January, this card features a cooling solution with a shroud that covers a fan-heatsink solution that cools the GPU, memory and VRM. The card has an overclocked core of 1100MHz and features 5000MHz memory, versus 1000MHz and 4500MHz on the stock card.

Artisan Radar Can Spot A Supersonic Tennis Ball 25km Away (video)

Technological advancements can certainly alter the course of a battle and that's why this new radar, which has been developed for the Royal Navy, is a very big advantage. BAE Systems' Artisan radar is so advanced that it can pin point a tennis ball traveling at Mach 3 more than 25km away. The new tech is capable of simultaneously detecting 900 objects smaller than a bird at a range between 200 meters and 200 kilometers, and it can perform the task even if there is interference equivalent to 10,000 mobile phone signals. And it's also light weight (700 kilograms), made of the same carbon glass fibre as a Formula 1 car, so it can be easily installed. Currently being fitted to Type 23 frigates, the Artisan will also find its way onto amphibious ships and the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers.

Asus has released a new Republic of Gamers (R.O.G.) branded mouse: the Eagle Eye GX1000. And in keeping with Asus' latest nomenclature, they have also dubbed it the Eagle Eye and have bestowed upon it many features to help backup its Republic of Gamers heritage. These include integrated LEDs; a 50 to 8200dpi laser sensor; and software configuration abilities, all of which are pretty standard for a new gaming mouse these days.

Today Logitech announced the new Logitech G line, reflecting its new approach to PC gaming. The new lineup includes six redesigned mice and keyboard favorites and two new headsets. Download AMD Catalyst 13.3 BETA 3 Drivers

AMD released a new Beta driver, this is Catalyst 13.3 BETA 3  (12.100.17.0 March 18). The driver offers a number of fixes and performance increments Far Cry 3 and Sim City 5 as well as latency fixes for Tomb Raider and Hitman Absolution. It also resolves slight corruption seen in Tomb Raider with TressFX enabled for CrossFire and single GPU configurations.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 are on a short list of devices rumored to see an Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie update, according to SamMobile. In 2011, 2012 and this year Samsung brought plenty of Android devices. Today we received, through our insider the first pre-list about upcoming Android updates from the Korean giant. Samsung will update the Galaxy S II and Note to Android 4.2.2 but this will be the last update for these devices.

NVIDIA Project Denver in 2015 + Roadmap

NVIDIA revealed at the GPU Technology Conference that the first Project Denver based Tegra SoC is coming in 2015. Codenamed Parker, this chip will feature 64-bit ARMv8 cores along with graphic based on the next-gen Maxwell architecture. Parker will be made using 3D FinFET transistors and Huang claims the chip will offer a 100x increase in performance over the Tegra 2, but it's unclear whether he was referring to GPU performance, CPU performance, or a combination of the two.

NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang shared a handful of details about the company's next-generation graphics chips. Early next year we can expect Maxwell, the successor to Kepler. This chip will introduce unified virtual memory, which means the GPU will be able to see the contents of the system memory, and vice versa. One of the benefits of this is that it will make programming the GPU easier, which should come in handy for GPGPU applications.
