Final Words and conclusion

The Vengeance K60 is an interesting keyboard. It's Corsair's first real attempt to release a set of keys aimed at the gamers. And as I've stated, that's a hard crowd to please alright :)

Could it be better ? Sure, I can make several remarks. The wrist rest could be a little more sturdy, I like to have seen more USB ports. Heck go crazy with USB 3.0, perhaps some extra programmable keys and perhaps backlighting as an option ? Mind you that the bigger brother of the K60 covers some of that.

So the K60 is good, not perfect. The primary functionality and feel is great though.

At the other side of the scope, there are some really lousy keyboards out there on the market. This is far far away from that. Hence I stated this is a good and solid set of keys. Now here at Guru3D.com we always say this : youll always need a keyboard, so you might as well make it a good one. Not to mention, there are so many new mechanical keyboards coming to market, it is a pretty good time to upgrade.

And if you're in the market for a new keyboard, then the new Corsair K60 is a good mechanical keyboard you can opt, period.  It is also priced fair for a mechanical keyboard (I know I know, not the dome function keys).

Corsair K60

Most high-end keyboards (and that is the category we are reviewing in) will lure you with extra features, like multiple USB ports and audio ports, Corsair concentrated on the stuff that matters, the Cherry MX keys, the wrist rest, the overall functionality, and sure the design as well. Aesthetically we think this set of keys is looking good, really good actually.

The N60 offers easily replaceable keycaps and are just a lot of fun to type on. Admittedly, it does take getting used to a little. Give yourself a few days with they keyboard to fully understand it and get a feel for it. As using a mechy definitely is a little different compared to your run of the mill keyboard.

Overall, the new Corsair K60 is a good product.  However I say this carefully, keyboards are very prone to personal preference to type on and game with. I would recommend to Corsair for the future model to have all mechanical keys, end-users in this class really do like to swap out the keys and currently the ESC key and function buttons are rubber dome based, they can't be replaced with any customizable keycap out there.

Other than that it is a complete piece of machinery with red switches, great design, media keys, windows lock button, wrist rest, WASD and 1-6 special keys. All that for 90 EUR / 100 dollars. We say that's a fair deal. And as such we can recommended it very much.
