The preposterous enterprise of the eternal MHz ... have a look at the next image.

That's correct, we were able to push the FSB/HTT towards 265 MHz. So we started at 2800 MHz and we ending up with an FX-57 processor running at 3447 MHz. That's roughly a 650 MHz overclock, 100% stable I must add.

This is a 100% stable system and to proof that we'll fire off some benchmarks at it on an already warm day as the ambient temperature was 26-27 Degrees C the day we ran benchmarks.

First let us have a look though on how temperature behaves during this rude overclock. I have made the policy that during 100% stress the CPU may not get any hotter than +5 Degrees C. If it reaches that point we will lower core voltage of the overclock and lower it a little as we do not want to risk burning up a 800 USD processor. Let's have a look at the graph below:

This is a 10 minute measurement. Here we can see the temperature of the CPU being 100% stressed at 3447 MHz. So at 3447 100% stressed MHz the VapoChill LS is still capable of keeping the CPU at a chilly 5 Degrees C with an ambient temperature of 26-27 Degrees C. It is exactly at the threshold of the margin we set. It's all good though as the CPU remains 100% stable and the temperature does not get any higher than that. BTW look at how fast the temperature is going sub-zero again once the CPU is idling.

What a fantastic result. Let's throw some gaming benchmarks at this rig shall we ?
