The Intel Arc A580 graphics card was launched roughly a year ago, alongside the A770, A750, and A380 GPUs, but it never made it to market. The A580 boasts 24 Xe-Cores, 24 Ray Tracing Units, 384 XMX Engines, and a clock speed of 1,700MHz. Additionally, it features 8GB of 16Gbps GDDR6 on a 256-bit bus, which provides a bandwidth of 512GB/s.

The ASRock Arc A580 Challenger OC model was recently listed on the Geizhals price-comparison site. Designed for a full-size PCIe 4.0x16 slot connection, this model supports a 2,000MHz GPU clock, offering superior performance compared to standard reference designs. Importantly, the A580 is compatible with the ACM-G10 Alchemist GPU. However, this is not the case for Intel's G11 and G12 GPUs, unless there have been any undisclosed specification updates.

Both the ASRock and Sparkle models have been seen on the Geizhals website, aligning with Intel's previous announcement about the 8GB memory specification. The Challenger OC model by ASRock, bearing a resemblance to the A750 model, requires dual 8-pin power connectors. Yet, the A580 consumes 175W of power, less than the 225W of the A7 series. The GPU clock speed for this particular model is expected to be 2.0 GHz, barring any modifications to its specifications.

Sparkle's A580 ORC model mirrors the design of the A750 ORC, highlighted by a dual-fan cooler, dual 8-pin power connectors, and the brand's signature blue shroud. The A580 ORC doesn't make explicit frequency claims but the cooler suggests a potential 2GHz performance. The card features a dual-slot, dual-fan cooler, possibly accompanied by standard RGB-lit logos. Both Sparkle and ASRock versions come equipped with three DisplayPort and one HDMI video outputs. The A580 Challenger OC carries a power rating of 175W.

The A580's power consumption of 175W is consistent with other graphics cards in its category. However, when compared, the RTX 4060 Ti seems to deliver superior performance at a similar power level, outperforming the flagship A770 GPU by around 20%. This might hint that Intel's GPUs could be strategically priced in the market, especially while addressing any driver-related issues. Although the official price remains undisclosed, to remain competitive, the A580 should ideally be priced below $190.
