AMD recently announced their new generation Ryzen Threadripper Pro processors. Interestingly, beyond the known WRX90 and TRX50 chipsets, there was a mention of a previously unidentified chipset named Pro 695 that popped up in their listing.
The nature and role of this Pro 695 chipset remain unclear. It could either be a clerical oversight on AMD's part or an indication of an unannounced chipset in the pipeline. When compared with the TRX50, the WRX90 offers enhanced professional manageability and security functions.
Additionally, it comes with a broader array of PCI channels and supports up to 8 memory channels. It also accommodates an expansion of up to 2TB DDR5 memory, which is double that of the TRX50. It is rumoured that AMD it might be a dual-socket Threadripper Pro chipset potentially capable of supporting up to 4TB of memory and a whopping 192 cores.
