Yea, I disable the sync option on Windows 8.1 too, I don't want my laptop to look identical to my PC, I generally theme my machines depending on which hardware I have inside of them, doesn't look very good when you have an AMD FX 8 Core, or ASUS ROG wallpaper set on a dual core turion 5 year old laptop

I've been using Skydrive for the last few years and now MS has put a stop to that with it's integration into Win8.1 and requiring that Skydrive users on Win8.1 use a "Microsoft account" to login to Windows in order to use Skydrive. Honestly, MS is going too far these days.

Do you even own a WP8? Most of us that do, prefer the Metro UI over the cluttered UI that Android and Apple devices ship with.

do you even own an android? most android users prefer a custom UI to that of the UI shipped with the phone. That's why android is famous for custom UI's.

Don't Google and Apple do the same thing? You're pretty much required to have a Gmail and/or AppleID to do anything on either platform.

Not to mention they removed the ability to go between Hotmail accounts that were linked.. now you have to logout of your one account, and re-enter your other account and login to it.. SO annoying.

Yes, you have to have a Gmail account for Google Drive or AppleID for iCloud BUT, you're not compromising system security. For Skydrive to work on Windows8.1, you have to log into Windows with a Microsoft account, not just Skydrive.

omg never quote Eldar when it comes to nokia and windows phones. he has been raging a personal war with both of them for almost a decade now. he posts misinformation about them and uses false data when reviewing their products. engadget made the mistake of quoting him instead of doing their own review once and half their writers were asked to leave. see Chris Zeigler. they posted eldars false data on one of nokias camera phones and almost every tech site caught them doing it. p.s. he has abandoned his website and has not posted anything but tweets for the last 6 months. very unreliable. here is a recent article about him....http://www.wpcentral.com/tag/eldar-murtazin

I dont have to do that with Windows Live Mail. You can have more than one Hotmail acct in WLM and it will automatically log in both when you open it.

WP8 is better than android if you don't care about tons of customization IMO. Much easier to use. I've had both.
