^ Lol'd 😀 Im on this 17134.1 for a good week and its "ok". https://s6.postimg.cc/h0whnrp81/111.png Edit: Actually, its OK now with 397.xx driver, before that and no native wddm 2.4 it was a bit so-so..
What about the driver made it better?

Windows GUI smoothness, responsiveness, games feel similar to RS3 and wddm2.3, at first when there was still wddm 2.2 driver there were more basic conflicts, like minimized games, losing focus when starting a game, etc. Same now compared to older wddm 2.3 drivers. Better overall compatibility.

I'm on 17133.73 and the far cry drivers (previous driver) worked great for me. The latest ones gave me slightly lower fps. Unless it gets better on 17134?

Could you post a screenshot of dxdiag display tab? I though wddm 2.4 would be included with this release. Strange that AMD didn't release a driver this month. I though it was because of wddm 2.4 support. Right now win10 1709 supports wddm 2.3.

It is wddm 2.4, but only with latest 397.xx driver. Check nv 397 thread

i too noticed that 17134 was WAY faster on the OS level, and slightly faster in game (in dx11 at least, proven with the ffxv benchmark--still not as fast as it's highest score on redstone 3 though hopefully that changes on may 8/9th) before ever installing 397.xx / wddm 2.4 (which im pretty sure was just the new raytracing directx whatever they're calling it). I think the folks calling every iteration of this OS trash need to step back and chill out. these are BETA they're not perfect. not redstone1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. if it's that awful for you then you should just stay on creator's update redstone 3 until the first few service packs of rs4. or one of their other 2 fully supported operating systems windows 8.1 or windows 7. or just completely ignore version updates and windows updates like everyone else on earth except the 20 people in this forum. and if you're still freaking out about bloatware then you must have missed the memo about LTSB. on the other end of the spectrum there are a few condescending MS elitist who constantly say 'I've never had a single problem with windows 10.' that's wonderful that they got it right on at least one (probably very new) machine. but there are well documented glitches and bugs that we don't have to prove with a wall of text that a lot of people have been experiencing. the OS is not perfect. that's why it's going through 5 major forks. yes it's a good OS. no it's not perfect. but it's nice to see a lot of development addressing various issues and a feedback hub. I have reported issues on my machines with drivers etc. and seen things i never thought would be fixed addressed. so if you care so much about your problems, click the search/cortana bar > click the people icon w/ bubble text (that's where all your bitching goes) > and tell them about it. or just wine eternally about this horrible OS you keep using .. lol. honestly it takes less effort to click the feedback hub and put your complaint there than to log into this forum with a negative comment. except it might actually get fixed then.

Windows 10 users can download and install the April 2018 Update starting Monday, April 30
You can get it already. https://download.microsoft.com/download/A/B/E/ABEE70FE-7DE8-472A-8893-5F69947DE0B1/MediaCreationTool.exe https://drive.google.com/open?id=1_-qVw6wrSe6ORqWY6geae_Tsb0FwYvDm The first link is the media creation tool, the second is the products cab file that lets you redirect to the new RS4 build. Create the folder C:\RS4 (the name does not actually matter, its just to make things simple) Download both files and place them in C:\RS4. Launch cmd.exe as admin and enter the following command: C:\RS4\MediaCreationTool.exe /Selfhost From there the media creation tool will work as it always does letting you upgrade your install, download the ISO or make a install flash drive. FYI index 1 and 6 are Home and Pro if you want to extract just those from the esd file.

I hope that broken (unsupported) Hotspot on some chips gets fixed

awesome dude ^^ I'm not sure what that 2nd link was it wasn't the .esd it was some .xml file that I extracted, opened with notepad, and found the version number 17134.1.180410-1804.rs4 (1804, not 1803). then it was a quick google search to find an ISO which downloaded in 15 mins. this version is being referred as final rtm on torrent sites. thanks for the update! wanna fresh install this now but I thought the final rs4 was about 3 versions ago lol. so update installing yet again and i'll wait and see if another ISO pops up by May 9th-ish before my final rs4 fresh install. we'll see if the ffxv benchmark beats my highest redstone 3 score yet brb
