LOL I purposely bought oldest WD: WD40EZRZ (2017!!), like 3 months ago when my stupid external Seagate Backup 4TB malfunctioned. Tried to repair it, but killed it with my big fat clumsy Les Grossman hands. Like 0.4 secs after disassembling it. Doesn't worth the time and money... Next time I will choose a purple.. It would be nice to understand how much complete repeated defrag and xpress/LZC compression would stress the disc or the pcb... Hopefully the new revisions I am getting from RMAs will last longer (the best would be until I am able to replace them with cheaper SSD).
