I don't understand this post. You wish the ultra wide trend would...die? Are you a gamer? If you're a gamer, this makes....no sense...you don't want to be able to see more? Or would you rather sit 1-2 feet away from a 55" 16:9 TV, have way too much movement up and down? If you don't care to be able to see more pertinent content in your games, fine, be limited, but you want it to die? so if you don't care for something, it shouldn't exist? Seems logical.....

I have the LC49HG90DMNXZA, which is the 3840x1080 version, hooked up to a pair of VEGA64 and with Freesync 2, HDR, QLED and 32:9 aspect ratio, what's not to like? Perfect for racing games, and for lower paced FPS games like Strange Brigade, BF series, COD series, Doom, Titan Fall 2 and the like. Very fast paced FPS like UT3 can be a little unsettling with such a wide POV.

You are wrong, it does the OPPOSITE. For The majority of us, people that own Nvidia cards, FreeSync is automatic rjection, a FreeSync logo is like Black Plague: DO NOT TOUCH, DO NOT BUY Instead of selling more, they sell MUCH less. The only Nvidia owners that buy freesync monitors are ones that dont care about the technology or just cant afford one and buying whataver they can afford with high refresh rate, but such people dont buy 1000+ USD monitors either.

Honestly the freesync logo to me is starting to say "nvidia sucks and I might sidegrade to get out of their shit ecosystem" These $5000 BFGD's at CES are an embarrassment - especially when LG's launching 120Hz VRR OLED displays for $3K and have a 10bit panel. They're really starting to lose me as a customer.

For me, it's the opposite, any monitor that is labeled as Gsync automatically drops out of my radar. It's NOT that I can't afford a Gsync monitor, I simply see no reason to pay extra for Gsync capable monitor only to be locked into nVidia's 'ecosystem'.

are you kiddind me? ultta wide is far better than multimonitor since no edges on the monitors cutting the picture. Curved is also very sexy. I suggest a monitor upgrade to convince yourself.
