they want current ram pricing to stick and become the new normal, I wish them many fires and floods, hopefully the chinese get into the game

for perspective, low production hard to find intel compatible ddr2 4gb dimms (high density ics)are the same price or cheaper than ddr4 per gb, which is bonkers.
I can hardly believe it.

I guess I'm waiting for DDR5.

I was thinking of getting more memory but when I looked at the prices I was kind of blown away to be honest, I guess this move is so they can keep the memory prices at the current very high inflated levels for as long as possible.

Eh, this is just ridiculous. I bought 16GB DDR4 for about 80$ two years ago and I thought I'm gonna upgrade to 32GB this year but I refuse to pay double. Same crap as HDD pricing scam all over again. I guess I have to wait.

I'll tell it again... My body is completely ready for an i5 9600 with an H390 M/B. But I refuse to pay such prices for DDR4 and I truly mean it. The only way I can see this going forward is only if I get a 2x4GB pair at 2666Mhz ( the normal Mhz supported by the CPU ). Nothing more. Despite being somewhat low.
But then again, wel'll see. I might don't jump the gun in the upgrade and it's the first time that I mean it. Don't get me wrong and won't be liar, I'm really sad, though and I seriously want to proceed with the upgrade.
The good thing is that I get to keep my 2 Samsung 850 SSDs, my Case, my gold modular power supply and I hope my cheap cooler EVO 212 Plus hoping will feet. Does anyone know if it's gonna feet?
P.S. In case I do the upgrade, later the only thing I'll add will be an m.2 SSD for the Games. I also like the integrated USB 3.1 Gen 2. The M/B I'll pick will certainly have I219V Intel Ethernet and 1220 Realtek Codec. The initial upgrade, M/B, CPU and DDR4 hope it will in the 400-450 spectrum. Otherwise it's again a no-no case. Like my currenlt i5 4690 22nm, I get the felling the i5 9600 will be last of the 14nm architecture -the most optimized one. I like that.
