why all of the hyperventilating?
just use common sense and a bit of logic.
any electrical circuit operating at speed emits a wide band of emissions from IR (heat indirectly related to power state) to RF.
this just is
think upon the ancient technology of valves (tubes) other than the fact they are far more resistive, they generate heat from 1Hz, let alone kHz, let alone MHz, let alone GHz. and we all know sparks generate RF as that's how radio and television works.
now add circuit density at unprecedented levels @ node (much more than M1/M2 but as chiplets) because of the microcircuitry each CCX acts as a single hot spot which is exactly why the new heatspreader is so chunky.
this will not be unique to AMD, this will be a defining feature of Meteor Lake at node.
there should be no snarky comments about this for that reason either as this is just physics and not a source for fanboyism.
Intel has long had to deal with higher power states amid increasingly resistive uArch (think +++) which is why their 8-10 gen were jokes on topic of power and heat. however, there is a silver lining to that - they've gained vital experience for ML.

It could be a bios issue - the difference is huge - this can be easily fixed by an update.
As with all important launches there are a lot of rumors...
It will run hot because the heat dissipation area is smaller than what we have in Ryzen 5 and 5950X already runs very hot, the silicon is denser so by simple physics it will be hot - by how much? - we'll se when the first test with retail products and mature enough bios will appear.
I have a feeling that EK will launch soon an Delta² TEC CPU block for AMD also so that Intel could have some company....:p
