Going to be a busy year for em, these rebrands coming, and their RDNA3s. 😀

Uhh next to no one seems like a stretch lol - but I do generally agree a huge chunk of the market would be adequately served.
it's not really a stretch when you look at the sheer cost of the crap cards like the 6500XT and 3050.

Makes you wonder how rdna2 igpu with ddr5 will perform.
If it reaches 1060 performance it would be amazing. Not sure if its possible.

6500xt has 16 compute units are those apus gonna be over 10cu ?

would you buy a 6850 card if it was available near msrp ? I think I still would buy 6850/xt even just before rdna3 launch if it was msrp.
I think RX68 are worth the msrp. All the boxes are checked for me , despite no ray tracing.

Okay but the cost of the 6500XT and 3050 doesn't suddenly make 1060's performance level acceptable to almost everyone, right? No one is going to go "hey I can't afford a 6500XT or higher, so now my game that doesn't run on my pre 2016 graphics card will suddenly be playable on this APU." The vast majority of those people will probably just buy xbox's.

RX6500 non XT , i mean can you really gimp that card more ? , what reduced clocks ? 32bit bus ? reduced clocks ?. When you get in levels of 1050 it , its bottom minimum , below that is OFFICE/TV work , and that can do ANY CHEAP INTEL IGPU.
I'm personally waiting on the RX6400 non XT. I hear it will have PCIe 5.0 fed over your choice of 32 bit PCI slot or ISA card. 😛

7-11cu like the vega maybe?

Almost everyone already should buy one when you take into account MSRP as the Series X slots in between the 370 and 3080 but only costs $500 USD and they are starting to become more available from non scalping sources. Plus with the abillity to get a good CPU and a respectable GPU in the same package it could be more likely that people that have the crappy AIO PCs or OEM ones with onboard graphics would get into gaming. Naturally I'm not talking about enthusiast who would reject anything but discrete graphics.

until we get ddr5 capable of ~8000mt/s or greater, I wouldn't count on it. As good as amd is coping with limited bandwidth, getting 1060 peformance with ~100gb/s(6400mt/s) or less is tough .

Maybe we'll see sram (the 3D ram on the limited 5800X3D) on upcoming APUs?

I think we could se infinity cache, it would help alot at 1080p, it's expensive tho it might hinder whole idea of APU, but they managed to put 16mb on 6500XT which is very cheap to produce , maybe they can squeeze 16mb in to APU ? :P

Given the cost and limited capacity of the 3d cache, , Would be more economical to do something like hbm2 on package, which would basically solve the problem completely rather than just minimize it.

A rebrand is something that is exactly the same in every way, but rebranded a new product with a different name. I have yet to see anything here listed as such.

it would need 14cu to match 1060 if 6500xt has 16

it wont match the 1060. igpus are still far from that level.

I dont think its that far off if they double they doubled the shader count to 1024ish shader and manage to get ddr5 up past 8000mhz which potentially some if cache

DDR5 + 3DCache + InfinityCache = A nice surprise? AMD would have a killer APU, the most powerful CPU+GPU combination on the market and probably price friendly compared to a dedicated GPU!
